Liam Thomas Daley, Research Fellowships in the UK and at UMD

This summer, Liam Thomas Daley was awarded a Stanley Wells Fellowship by the American Friends of the Shakespeare Birthplace Trust.

This fellowship allows recipients to conduct three weeks of research in the archives and rare book collections of the Shakespeare Birthplace Trust in Stratford-upon-Avon. This year, Liam was one of three graduate students from American universities invited to research in Stratford. While there, Liam had the opportunity to meet twice with Sir Stanley Wells, CBE, general editor of the Oxford and Penguin Complete Works of Shakespeare.

Liam is also the recipient of the Harman-Ward Dissertation Fellowship for the 2019-2020 academic year. This year-long fellowship is awarded annually by the English to a PhD candidate pursuing a dissertation in one of several period-specific areas including medieval literature
