Hannah Baker Saltmarsh, a UMD alumna who graduated with her BA in English in 2004 and her MFA in Creative Writing (Poetry) in 2006, recently published her first book, a work of poetry criticism.

Her book, entitled Male Poets and the Agon of the Mother: Contexts in Confessional and Postconfessional Poetry, was released this year on Mother's Day, and contains a chapter which analyzes the mother poems of Stanley Plumly.
