Laura Rosenthal recently gave an invited talk on Restoration tragedy, the slave trade, and Catherine of Braganza at Durham University and one on Bernard Mandeville and the passions at the International Mandeville Symposium at Depauw University.

Her article, "Fanny's Feeling: Social Mobility and Emotions in Memoirs of a Woman of Pleasure," appeared in a special issue of Eighteenth-Century Life occasioned by the 50th Anniversary of the Supreme Court Decision Allowing Publication of Fanny Hill.  Additionally, her book, Ways of the World: Theater and Cosmopolitanism in the Restoration and Beyond will be published by Cornell University Press.
