Vin Carretta's recent publications include an edition of Letters of the Late Ignatius Sancho, An African (Broadview); “Phillis Wheatley: Researching a Life,” Historical Journal of Massachusetts;  “Phillis Wheatley,” in Oxford Bibliographies in African American Studies, ed. Gene Jarrett; “Francis Barber,” in Dictionary of Caribbean and Afro-Latin American Biography, eds. Henry Louis Gates, Jr. and Franklin W. Knight (Oxford UP). Vin's book reviews of  Paula Loscocco, Phillis Wheatley’s Miltonic Poetics and Agnes Lugo-Ortiz and Angela Rosenthal, eds., Slave Portraiture in the Atlantic World are forthcoming in, respectively, Early Modern Women: An International Journal and Journal of American Studies. He gave a keynote address, “Uncovering Lives: The Biographical Challenge of the Early Black Atlantic,” at the First Biennial Conference of the International Auto/Biography Association, Chapter of the Americas, University of Michigan, in June. He was interviewed in July by Gretchen Gerzina on Olaudah Equiano for the British Broadcasting Corporation. Vin has also been chosen as the Inaugural Senior Fellow of the Omohundro Institute George III Project at Windsor Castle.
