In Memoriam, Laura Slavin

The Department mourns the loss of alumna Laura Slavin.

The English department joins the campus in mourning the loss of Laura Slavin, who died early in January. Laura earned an MA in English in 1982 and she worked at the University of Maryland for 30 years, until retiring in 2013. She was for many years Assistant to the Dean for Undergraduate Studies and Director of CORE Planning and Implementation. We send condolences to her family, friends, and colleagues.
