Mary Helen Washington Awarded Bode-Pearson Prize

Mary Helen Washington has been awarded the Bode-Pearson Prize from the American Studies Association.

The Prize, established in 1975, is one of the oldest and most prestigious awards in American Studies, and is awarded to an individual for a lifetime of achievement and service within the field of American Studies. 

The award committee was "deeply impressed" with Washington's significant work in the field of American Studies. The award will be announced at a ceremony in Toronto on October 9, 2015. Congratulations to Mary Helen!
