From the CGS announcement:

CGS is pleased to announce that Charles (“Chuck”) Caramello, Associate Provost for Academic Affairs and Dean of the Graduate School at the University of Maryland, College Park [left] and Jeffrey Engler, Associate Dean of the Graduate School at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) [right], will be appointed CGS Deans-in-Residence beginning August 1, 2016. Each will serve a one-year term in the role, which was created to allow graduate deans, associate or assistant deans to spend an academic year at the Council’s Washington, D.C. office. “The Dean-in-Residence program helps us learn from the expertise and leadership experience of our member deans, and brings a fresh perspective to the work of our permanent staff,” said CGS President Suzanne Ortega. “We will be delighted to welcome Chuck and Jeff to the CGS team.”
