Academic & Professional Writing Programs Awarded Blended Learning Grant

The Center for Teaching Excellence and the Office of Information Technology have selected the Academic Writing and Professional Writing Programs to participate as fellows

A $50,000 grant will assist the Writing Programs as instructors develop course materials that combine face-to-face classroom methods with computer-mediated activities. Ten sections of Academic Writing and six sections of Professional Writing will pilot the program. Because so many undergraduate students at the University enroll in composition courses, the innovative approaches designed under the auspices of this program promise to have widespread impact on the campus community.
