Mark Fitzgerald was recently awarded a writing fellowship from the Virginia Center of Creative Arts. On Sept. 3, he will read from his book, By Way of Dust and Rain, at the Richmond Public Library.

Pamela Gerhardt's essay “Fog on the Cher” is forthcoming in the fall issues of BlackBird, an online journal of literature and the arts.

In June, Danuta Hinc graduated with an MFA in Writing and Literature from The Writing Seminars at Bennington College, VT.

James Mattson sold his novel The Lost Prayers of Ricky Graves at auction to Little A, who will publish it in Oct. 2017.

Joan Mooney published an article on forest therapy in Parks & Recreation magazine.

Richard Reynnells was honored with the American Poultry Historical Society Award. Richard will donate the cash award to purchase two life memberships for persons interested in poultry science.
