The Paper Shell Review is looking for Editors

October 21, 2014 English

Calling all scholars, editors, and critical-thinkers! The Paper Shell Review has openings on the editorial board for the spring 2015 edition.

The Paper Shell Review is the only journal of critical essays on literary topics and accepts submissions from not just the University of Maryland, but from around the world. This is a unique and valuable opportunity for anyone considering graduate school, a career in publishing or writing, or anyone just looking to build a community around literature and meet similarly passionate people! The time commitment is largely in the spring, and board members are responsible for reading, editing, and deciding on all submissions. If you're interested, or have any questions, please email papershellreview@gmail.com.

The spring 2014 issues features five essays, two of which were authored by English majors. Tajah Ebram was published in The Paper Shell Review as a senior English major and is now working toward her PhD in English. Click here to read her essay entitled “Race, Gender and Jessica: The Problem of Conversion in Shakespeare’s Merchant of Venice.” Robert Harris was also published in the spring 2014 issue as a senior English major and Creative Writing minor.
