Nabila Hijazi and Douglas Kern Present "Bridging Relationships" at George Mason

October 07, 2015 English | Center for Literary and Comparative Studies

Nabila Hijazi and Douglas Kern, co-Assistant Directors of The University of Maryland's Writing Center, presented Bridging Relationships: Creating Connections Among Diverse Communities for the 2015 Capital Area Peer Tutoring Association (CAPTA) Conference

Throughout their presentation, Nabila and Doug invited participants to discuss ways to bridge relationships between established academic communities (specifically, Writing Centers) within both post-secondary institutions and high schools. Both were asked to contribute a blog post for the CAPTA website with an overview of their presentation as a way to further extend the Writing Center's commitment to community outreach.
