Marilee Lindemann Wins Freedom & Liberation Medal

Associate Professor of English and Director of the LGBT Studies Program wins award from the President’s Commission on LGBT Issues.

On Wednesday, May 21, the Nyumburu Cultural Center hosted the sixteenth annual Lavender Graduation, a special ceremony for Maryland students who identify as LGBTQA (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgnder, queer and ally) or have been involved in an LGBTQA organization on campus. Marilee Lindemann, associate professor of English and director of the LGBT Studies Program, won the Freedom & Liberation Medal from the President’s Commission on LGBT Issues. Congratulations, Marilee!
