In April, Lyra Hilliard presented at the Online Learning Consortium's Innovate Conference in New Orleans. Her session, "Creative Design Strategies for Synchronous Online Classes," was a 45-minute workshop in which onsite and virtual attendees participated in a mock class in Adobe Connect and then discussed the affordances and limitations of teaching with synchronous and asynchronous tools such as Adobe Connect, Google Docs, and Twitter.
