Donna Hamilton Wins President's Medal

Donna B. Hamilton is the recipient of this year's President's Medal, the highest honor the campus community awards.
According to the Office of Faculty Affairs, "This award is the highest honor the campus community bestows. The recipient of this award is a member of the community with an exemplary record of sustained and acknowledged contribution to the quality of life on the campus. The candidate’s career must be distinguished by a dedication to the fulfillment of the University’s goals and mission, by professional accomplishments, and by campus service. Particular emphasis is placed on contributions that have had a wide-ranging and enhancing influence on the entire campus community."
The President's Medal is awarded each year to a full-time member of the community who has served for at least ten years of full-time employment on campus. Hamilton is a professor in the Department, specializing in sixteenth-century English literature. On campus, she has served as Associate Dean in the College of Arts and Humanities, Director of English Undergraduate Studies, Interim Associate Provost for Academic Affairs and Dean for Undergraduate Studies, and Associate Provost for Academic Affairs and Dean for Undergraduate Studies.
Hamilton will be honored at the Faculty and Staff Convocation on Tuesday, October 13th at 3:00 pm in the Colony Ballroom of the Adele Stamp Student Union.
