Lecturer Caleb Kriesberg's essay, "What if Parson Weems is My Hero? Engaging American History Students in a Multicultural Classroom" was printed as part of the proceedings of a conference he attended last March, sponsored by the Society for the Interdisciplinary Study of Social Imagery. The conference was titled: "The Image of the Hero in Literature, Media, and Society," at which Caleb presented and lead discussions on his paper. Caleb learned about the conference from a flyer posted in Tawes Hall.
