Sonney Wolfe

Sonney Wolfe holds a Master of Arts in English and teaches professional and academic writing at the University of Maryland. She’s been a freelance writer for the last fifteen years with features in The Record Searchlight, Island Times, Press Tribune, Placer Herald, Canyon Weekly, Totsy.com, and various others. She began teaching English composition in 2015 and specializes in curriculum development and metacognitive strategies. Her research centers on the holistic development of students and explores the intersection of mental health and student success.

When she is not grading papers or developing lesson plans, she’s either backpacking, hiking, kayaking, writing about life, or hanging out with family. She’s currently planning a thru-hike of the Appalachian Trail in 2028.
