Rebecca N. Liu is Assistant Professor of English at the University of Maryland, College Park. Her research and teaching interests include Asian American literature, Global Asias, Marxist feminism, and critical race and ethnic studies. Her current book project explores how legacies of Asian indenture and the contract form configure race, labor, and social reproduction from the nineteenth century to the present. An article drawn from this project is forthcoming in American Literature. She received her PhD in English and Interdisciplinary Humanities from Princeton University.
