Harley Nguyen is an M.A. Literature student interested in the organizational, introspective, and interrogative powers of poetry. A PG County native, he received his B.A. in English Literature from University of Maryland, Baltimore County, and worked in publishing before arriving at UMD. He is interested in contemporary poetry, especially from the slam poetry traditions, and how many writers have used poetry in community building, mutual aid, social justice, and solidarity. His other interests include ethnic literature, creative writing, and music.
