In March, Alexa Swick received the Clemson English Annual Fiction Award, Second Place, for her short story, "Promise." In April, she read from "Promise" at Clemson University's 11th Annual Literary Festival.

Gabrielle Lucille Fuentes' short story "Ana Mendieta Haunts the Block" is forthcoming in The Common. She recently gave a reading at Little Salon in DC. This past summer she received fellowships from Hedgebook and Willapa Bay Artists in Residency.

Jeremy will be taking part in the panel entitled "Genre, Speculative Fictions, and the Aesthetics of New Subjectivities" at the 50th Annual Northeast Modern Language Association conference in March. There, they will be presenting their paper "Free Will, Gravitational Forces, and the Formation of Identity: Coriolis in S.", an exploration of two physicists' theories of motion as metaphor in the metatextual, book-based ARG, S.

Lara Payne's poem “Corn Stand, 10 ears for two dollars” was a winner in the Moving Words Competition, and was placed on buses in Arlington, VA during the summer of 2018. Her poem “News of Another Shooting” was published online in SWWIM, poetry daily, March 16, 2018. Three of her poems were published by Beltway Poetry Quarterly in their Fall 2018 issue.

Brian Richardson’s article, “Dangerous Reading in Mansfield’s Stories and Woolf’s ‘The Fisherman and His Wife,’” was published in Katherine Mansfield and Virginia Woolf, eds. Christine Froula et al.; his note, “A Source for the Unusual Character of Pedro in Victory” appears in Conradiana 47.3. His articles, “Denarration” and “The Permeable Narrator” have been translated into Hungarian and published in the journal Helikon. Another article, “Theatrical Space and the Domain of Endgame” is being republished in Twentieth Century Literary Criticism: Samuel Beckett’s Endgame. He spoke on “The (Re-)Reader of Ulysses at the ALSCW Conference at Vanderbilt University in November.
