Four Graduate Students Win Travel Awards

The College of Arts and Humanites awarded four travel grants to Ph.D. students presenting their research at major national conferences.
As further evidence of the College of Arts and Humanities' continued support of graduate student research, four doctoral students in the Department of English won awards to alleviate conference costs. The awards are valued up to $500 for national conferences and $700 for international conferences and cover transportation, registration fees, lodging, and food.
Deborah Bailin has won an award to support her participation in the 150 Years of Evolution conference in San Diego, California;
Heather Brown has won an award to support her participation at the Conference on College Composition and Communication in Louisville, Kentucky;
Rebecca Lush has won an award to support her participation at the American Society for Eighteenth Century Studies in New Mexico
Marc Ruppel has won an award to participate in the Modern Language Association Conference in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
