Carretta Receives NEH Fellowship

Professor Vin Carretta has been honored with the receipt of a long-term National Endowment for the Humanities Fellowship for 2008-09 at the John Carter Brown Library in Providence, Rhode Island.

The John Carter Brown Library is a premier research library, specializing in materials on America before 1825.  Professor Carretta will be working on his biography of the foundational African-American poet Phillis Wheatley (1753-84).  Please join us in extending warm congratulations to Professor Carretta.
