Bob Levine has given recent talks on Melville and Irish emigration at the University of Kansas, Catholic University, and Indiana State University.
His new essays include a piece on Frederick Douglass and synchronicity in Black Perspectives and the Afterword to The New Melville Studies (Cambridge UP, 2019). His updated second edition of the Norton Critical Edition of Hawthorne’s The House of the Seven Gables will be published later this year.
