Norm Steinberg, founder of the TV Writers Workshop at Long Island University.
He will be talking about his MFA program at LIU-Brooklyn, which prepares you for a working in television and film. Read about the course here (and watch the video): http://www.liu.edu/brooklyn/mfatv
Classes are held, one day a week, in the Steiner Studios, were a great many HBO and other shows and films are shot. So far 13 Maryland English majors have been sent by me into this four-year-old program. Over the course on two years, students also work as interns on various television productions.
Norm is a Maryland alum (History), who went on to write or show-run some of the greatest films and TV programs in history, including "Blazing Saddles." He knows EVERYBODY in Hollywood and New York.
On Thursday in Ulrich he'll be telling all, about his career and how you can have one much like it.
