The MFA Program in Creative Writing is pleased to announce the winners of the 2013 Academy of American Poets Poetry Prize and the Katherine Anne Porter Fiction Prize. Paul Guest, judge of the Academy of American Poets Poetry Prize, has chosen:

  • Prize Winner: Caroline Randall
  • Honorable Mention: Emily Banks
  • Honorable Mention: Will Fargason

Jill McCorkle, judge of the Katherine Anne Porter Fiction Prize, has chosen:

  • Prize Winner: Mary Lynn Reed for “Calculus of Residues,” the first chapter of her novel SINGULARITIES
  • Honorable Mention: Dan Knowlton for his story “Dive”
  • Honorable Mention: Keke Kusumaatmadja for her story “Thief!”
