Brian Richardson Spends the Summer Traveling and Presenting, Among Other News

In late May Brian Richardson gave a presentation on “We” and “They” narration at a conference on Social Minds at the University of Freiburg in Germany. In June he spoke on “Representing Unnatural Minds” at the Narrative Matters Conference at the University of Paris-Diderot; in July he participated in a workshop on lists in literature and delivered a paper on “The Poetics of Lists and the Boundaries of Narratives” at the Freiburg Institute for Advanced Studies. In August he presented a paper on “Action, Silence, Death: The Power of the Unspoken in Conrad’s Plots” and spoke on Conrad and narrative theory as an invited participant at a roundtable session on “Critical Approaches to Conrad” at the North American Conrad Conference in Vancouver BC. He has been appointed to the editorial board of the journal, Conradiana.
