Book Talk: November 20th, 2pm-3:30pm, Tawes 0330

Please join the Department of American Studies as we host Professor Andrew Ross of New York University to discuss his new book Stone Men: The Palestinians Who Built Israel (Verso, 2019).The book tells the history and contemporary circumstances of Palestinian stone and construction workers who have built most of the dwellings, towns, cities and infrastructure of Israel/Palestine. Shifting the focus on land claims and military rule to look at labor, Ross’s book provides an important new framework to consider the politics and daily life of those who live in the region.
