In this course students will develop the skills needed to start a business with a social mission or a new nonprofit program. The major assignment is a writing project like a business plan, a website design plan, a fundraising proposal, or a concept paper for a new nonprofit organization. Other assignments include presentation/pitch to prospective investors/donors, marketing materials, and a job announcement.
Students will also develop related collaboration and networking skills needed by effective social entrepreneurs.
