Recording and Podcasting

Many scholars are starting to record conference panels, speakers, and classes for posterity. Unfortunately, without a dedicated person to assist in capture and editing, the English Department is not able to fully support those efforts.

We do offer training on using in-room and borrowed equipment, including camcorders and audio recording devices. Items can be checked out from the English Department or The Division of IT. Please note that the English Department only loans equipment to people and events tht are affiliated with us.

How To Use:

  • Panopto
  • Classroom Recording
  • Camcorders
  • Audio Recorders
Support Offered:
  • Adobe Premier
  • Camtasia
  • Audacity
Additional training can be found through the University's partnership with lynda.com.

Once your recording has been created, we can help you host video at vimeo.com and audio at SoundCloud.com.

If you require a more professional level of recording, you can contant ARHU's Academic Technology Office to discuss hiring one of their employees. You can also contact the Department of Business Services to hire a photographer for an event.
