How to Schedule an Appointment

The best way to schedule an appointment is online [1]. Currently, the Writing Center is funded to work with UMD undergraduate students only (and all UMUC students). We hope to offer services for graduate students in the future, but now we must unfortunately turn them away.

If you are new to our online scheduling system you will be prompted to a one-time-only registration.  You can then view the schedule.

• Click on the open time slot that suits you best.

• Choose either 30 or 60 minutes for an appointment.  If you are unsure how much time you will need, opt for 60 minutes.

You may also make an appointment by visiting the Writing Center during normal business hours (see current semester hours [2]) or by calling (301) 405-3785.  Please have the following information available when scheduling:

•  The day(s) and time(s) you would like an appointment

• The course number of the class in which the paper is assigned (e.g., ENGL 101)
