July 13, 2010 English

Professor Brian Richardson's book, Unnatural Voices: Extreme Narration in Modern and Contemporary Fiction (Ohio State UP, 2006) has won the 2007 Perkins Prize.

This prize is awarded by the Society for the Study of Narrative Literature, for "the best book on narrative published in 2006." Professor Richardson's book analyzes experimental narrative voices that go beyond traditional first- or third-person points of view. The Perkins Prize will be announced at the Society's meeting at the MLA conference in late December 2007.
