Spring/Summer 2002 Graduates

PhD students

  • Katie Bramlett (Ph.D., 2022) has accepted an Assistant Professor position at Cal State East Bay starting in the Fall.
  • Sara Faradji (Ph.D., 2022) has accepted a job offer as a course manager at Cybrary.
  • Jeffrey Moro (Ph.D., 2022) has accepted a position as Clinical Assistant Professor with the African American History, Culture, and Digital Humanities (AADHum) Initiative at the University of Maryland.
  • Justin Thompson (Ph.D., 2022) has accepted a position as Program Manager for the MBA Program at the University of Maryland.

MA Students

  • Dominique Joe (MA, 2022), will be attending the Ph.D. program in English at Cornell University

  • Keisha Allan (2021) has accepted a tenure-track position at Baruch College as Assistant Professor of Black Studies.
  • Kyle Bickoff (2021) has accepted a position as Contract Specialist with the U.S. Government Printing Office.
  •  Kayla Harr Doucette (2021) has accepted a position as a science writer and editor at Rose Lee Associates.
  • Norrell Edwards (2019) has accepted a tenure-track position at Le Moyne College as Assistant Professor of English and the 75th Anniversary Endowed Professor of the Humanities.
  • DeLisa Hawkes (2019) has accepted an Assistant Professor position at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville leaving an Assistant Professor position at University of Texas-El Paso.
  • Nabila Hijazi (2020) has accepted a position as Teaching Assistant Professor in the University Writing Program at George Washington University.
  • Meg Pearson (PhD 2006) who is currently Dean of University College at the University of West Georgia has accepted the position of Dean of the School of Arts and Sciences at SUNY-Plattsburgh.
  • Kate Singer (2009) will become the president of the Keats Shelley Association of America and was recently promoted to Professor of English at Mount Holyoke College.
  • Tung-An Wei (2021) has accepted a position as Assistant Professor of English at Soochow University in Taipei, Taiwan.

MFA

  • Emily Banks (2015) accepted a Visiting Assistant Professor position at Franklin College in Franklin, Indiana, beginning in Fall 2022. This is a three-year position with a potential tenure-track conversion in Creative Writing and American Literature.
