This Spring, Michael Olmert was selected to serve as an affiliate with the School of Theatre, Dance, and Performance Studies, lectured on J.L. Carr.'s novel, A Month in the Country, and peer reviewed an article for Speculum.

In February, Michael Olmert was selected to be an affiliate with the University of Maryland School of Theatre, Dance, and Performance Studies.

On March 4, 2020, Olmert delivered a one-hour call-in lecture about the 1980 Booker-nominated novel A Month in the Country, by J.L. Carr. The book is to do with Post-WW I Yorkshire, ecclesiastical architecture and art, redemption, and love. This event was sponsored by University Maryland Alumni Association.

Olmert was also asked by the medieval history and literature journal, Speculum, to peer review for publication an article on gambling play and punishment in the middle ages. The piece is based on some two thousand supplicant and pardon letters from Lowlands Europe written between 1386 and 1520. (Olmert's PhD dissertation was on sport, play, and games in Middle English Literature.)
