Latin American Studies Center Visiting Scholars Film Screening

Two award winning films directed by Patricio Guzman will be presented as part of the LASC Visiting Scholar workshop with Carlos Pabón.

"Salvador Allende" will be shown Friday February 24 at 1:00 PM and "Nostalgia for the Light" will be shown Saturday February 25 at 9:30 AM.

Carlos Pabón is professor of History at the University of Puerto Rico, Río Piedras. His current work titled "Looking into the Abyss: Reflections on The (in) visibility of Genocide" addresses the representation of extreme violence and its ethical and political significance.
