EDCTE Workshop: Writing & Talking About Your Teaching

EDCTE Workshop: Writing & Talking About Your Teaching

English Thursday, April 21, 2011 1:30 pm - 3:00 pm Tawes Hall, 3250

A joint CTE and GEO event, this workshop will focus on two key elements of going on the job market: how to write a teaching of statement philosophy and how to prepare for job interview questions regarding your teaching. Doctoral Candidates Jennie Wellman and Rebecca Lush will share their applications materials and discuss their experiences interviewing. We'll also briefly review the resources, such as prior models of successful teaching statements, available for your use.

This should prove especially useful to those graduate students likely to go on the job market in the coming couple of years. Please RSVP to Sarah Sillin by Tuesday, April 19th. Refreshments will be served.
