Due to budget cuts, the English minor has been suspended.
What does this mean for me?
Current minors
You will be allowed to continue with the program, and receive the minor if all requirements are met.
New minors
No new English minors will be accepted while the program is suspended.
Frequently Asked Questions
How long will the suspension last?
The program will be suspended for at least two years (through AY 2011-2012). Reinstatement of the minor will depend upon future budgetary conditions.
What other options do I have?
Students who meet all of the pre-requisites for English courses may take them without being formally enrolled in the English major. The department frequently undertakes pre-requisite reviews, and students who do not meet the requirements will be removed from the course. Students can also enroll in the English major, which only requires five courses more than the minor.
