Umm Zakiyyah writes about the interfaith struggles of Muslims and Christians and the intercultural, spiritual, and moral struggles of Muslims in America. She has written more than twenty books, including novels, short stories, and self-help. Her work has been translated into multiple languages. Her novel His Other Wife is now a short film. 

This event is part of WMST/CMLT 275, World Literature by Women, class, themed as World Literature by Muslim Women, taught by Nabila Hijazi. The event is sponsored by the Center for Literary and Comparative Studies and English Department and funded through "Beyond the Classroom" (CLCS) Grant.
