March 27, 2019
4:00 - 5:30 PM
Tawes 2115

Hosted by Danielle Griffin and Liam Dailey, this workshop teaches the basics of early modern English handwriting in two sessions. Part of the "Engaging the Medieval and Early Modern Archive" 2019 Series, this special training in the mechanics of paleography will help unlock difficult-to-decipherable hand-written documents including literary manuscripts, wills, private letters, financial and legal records, and other texts. Ideal for students of literature before 1800, those interested print and manuscript studies or the evolution of the written word, or anyone at all looking to pick up a new skill.
