Please join the Goeth-Institut Washington, the Austrian Cultural Forum Washington, and the Embassy of Switzerland in welcoming three leading German-language novelists to the University of Maryland.

Stefanie de Velasco (Germany) is author of Tiger Milk, Dana Grigorcea (Switzerland) is author of An Instinctive Feeling of Innocence, and Daniela Emminger (Austria) is author of Kafka mit Fl├╝geln, a novel that is only available in German. The three novelists will discuss the intersections of creative writing and cultural identity in constructing contemporary narratives.

This visit is funded by the following institutions: Goethe, Austrian Cultural Forum, and the Embassy of Switzerland, with support from the Center for Literary & Comparative Studies and the Creative Writing Program in the Department of English and the Department of Germanic Studies at the University of Maryland.
