Please join our class on Caribbean literature - in Tawes 0221 on Tuesday April 17, 11:00 to 12:15 - to hear Caribbean-American writer Lauren Francis-Sharma in a reading and discussion with a Caribbean literature class. Lauren Francis-Sharma was born in New York and raised in Baltimore. A child of the Caribbean diaspora, her parents are from Trinidad & Tobago. Her first novel, ‘Til the Well Runs Dry, draws on stories of Trinidad for its inspiration. Francis-Sharma holds a bachelor’s degree in English literature with a minor in African-American Studies from the University of Pennsylvania and a J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School.
