Assistant or Associate Professor of Rhetoric and Composition.

The English Department of the University of Maryland invites applications for a tenure-track position in Rhetoric and Composition at the rank of assistant or associate professor. The person appointed to this position will direct the Academic Writing Program, which oversees the first-year composition course, housed in the Department of English. The English Department also oversees the Professional Writing Program and the Writing Center. The writing programs are supported by a departmental Writing Committee, and the department provides exceptional collegial support. The University of Maryland is located on the outskirts of Washington, DC, offering its faculty access to impressive library and archival facilities.
