Comparative study of selected works by women writers of several countries, exploring points of intersection and divergence in women's literary representations.

Readings will include Arundhati Roy's The God of Small Things, Monique Truong's Bitter in the Mouth, Marjane Satrapi's graphic narrative, Persepolis, and short fiction by Zadie Smith.
