ENGL398V - Topics in Professional Writing; Writing about the Environment
This course is specially designed for students with a career interest in the environmental sciences. It applies principles of technical writing to a range of scenarios and issues particular to the intersection of scientific knowledge and environmental policy. Students practice writing to public audiences as well as decision-makers.

Prerequisites: ENGL101; or students who have taken courses with comparable content may contact the department.

Restriction: Must have earned a minimum of 60 credits; and junior standing or higher. Not open to students who have completed ENGL393E.

Note: This course satisfies the professional writing requirement. For ENGL majors to receive major credit from this course, they will have to have already fulfilled the professional writing requirement with another course. Repeatable to 6 credits if content differs. Credit will be granted for only one of the following ENGL398V or ENGL393E. Formerly ENGL393E.
