ENGL300 - Writing about Literature

For students who want to improve their academic writing skills, focusing in particular on literary analysis, argument, style, clarity and engagement with other points of view. Readings include literary criticism and essays on effective writing.   Students are required to read The Tempest by William Shakespeare before the start of class, since it will serve as the basis for writing assignments. Especially useful to prepare for upper-level courses in literature.

Prerequisites: 

Must have completed or be concurrently enrolled in ENGL301.
