Description
What would it mean to teach this course by limiting it to texts written by women? This is the question we will explore together, by reading books by Austin, Stein, Cather, Hurston, Brooks, Welty, Yamamoto, Bishop, Silko, Didion, Walker, Morrison, and Lahiri. This will be a discussion course run by the students, so come prepared to talk. One short paper and a final exam.
