ENGL388T - Writing Internship: Maryland Institute for Technology in the Humanities Internships
Syllabus:
Section(s):

Join a research team of senior scholars, graduate students, and undergraduates from across the university. The Maryland Institute for Technology in the Humanities (MITH; http://www.mith.umd.edu) is offering internships for up to 3 credit hours in digital humanities.

Interns will be asked to write regular blog-based updates about their work and a longer, reflective paper at the end of the semester.

Besides working on cutting-edge humanities projects, interns will be exposed to technical skills increasingly necessary for both graduate study and advancement in today's work force. To apply, please contact Associate Professor Matthew Kirschenbaum, Associate Director of MITH, mgk@umd.edu. Include a statement about why you want to pursue a MITH internship and what you hope to accomplish, a list of three *current* MITH projects that interest you, and a list of any relevant technical, design, or project-oriented skills that you possess.

Repeatable to 9 credits.

Prerequisites:

Permission of the department. Contact Professor Matthew Kirschenbaum, mgk@umd.edu.
